Kyvo and GSVlabs’ Acceleration Programs in Brazil will offer internship at Google

Currently, among other projects, Kyvo and GSVlabs are responsible for the Visa Fintech Startups Acceleration & Incubation Program, the Track. This partnership between Brazilian consulting business Kyvo Design-Driven Innovation and the American innovation center GSVlabs will be supported by the Google innovation Office, the Launchpad Accelerator, in San Francisco, USA. This cooperative extension was settled last Friday and is now effect for each project companies are working on.

Currently, among other projects, Kyvo and GSVlabs are responsible for the Visa fintech startups Acceleration & Incubation program, the Track. This program was announced on the 26th, and is supposed to last six months. It will involve five companies as well as 180 startups being awarded R$ 235.000 each to invest in their business. The five startups are: Beetech, Dataholics, Foxbit, Next One and Safe.

“The partnership between GSVlabs and Google now also extends to the innovation programs structured by Kyvo in Brazil. This means that all of our programs are going to be part of the Google Launchpad Accelerator. It’s a huge perk, no doubt about it”, said the Founding Partner, Hilton Menezes. According to him, in the USA, GSVlabs and Launchpad held, in January, the Pioneer Accelerator – an event to accelerate growth of startups in Brazil, USA and Mexico. The event had PayPal chairman, John Donahoe, as spokespersons as well as Andrew Ng who is the chief scientist at the Chinese Baidu.

Regarding Track, the activities with the Launchpad include the assistance of experts in technology to look for solutions in their products, and tips on how critical business issues can be met through services design and customer experiences. Besides spending some time at Google, the Fintechs will be part of an immersion with 170 other startups based at GSVlabs – a 7.000 square-meter space in Silicon Valley. There, they will be in touch with innovation centers of huge American companies, such as Intel, IBM, JetBlue and 3M, not to talk about the mentorship and access to these valuable innovation methodologies. After all, the Brazilian startups will have spent one month in Silicon Valley.

“Going to the Launchpad not only provides you with knowledge on recent technologies and marketing, it’s a way to make startups get acquainted to Google guidelines, which is a unique experience” says Bobby Amiri, International Business Director at GSVlabs.
