Last Wednesday, July 12th, was the last day of auditions for the pre-selected Latin American startups which are running for the finals.
Last Wednesday, July 12th, auditions ended for the pre-selected Latin American startups running for the final phase of the K-Startup Grand Challenge – South Korean governmental acceleration program, with entrepreneurs from all over the world. This program has had over 100 applicants from Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador and Brazil, and of which 30 made it to the auditions.
Held in Sao Paulo, the startups’ evaluation gathered delegates from some of the main South Korean accelerators, in addition to Kyvo – K-Startup Grand Challenge partner in Brazil – and Brazilian investors and specialists. The ten Latin American finalists, who are going to a boot camp in Seoul, will be announced until the end of the month. There, in Seoul, they will be joining 40 other startups that have been selected from other continents. The aim of the South Korean government is to bring potential business partners to the main Korean companies, such as Samsung, LG and Hyundai. As for the Latin American companies, this can be considered one of the best opportunities they have in the area to look for new opportunities in Asia. We wish the best of luck to the finalists.
